1)‍ ‍What products & services do you offer?

I am a fine art printmaker working with all aspects of analog printmaking including lino block, woodblock, solarplate, drypoint, stone less lithography, mixed media and experimental processes. I create print based artwork for the home, corporate settings, commissions and collaborate with artists to create editions of prints. I also create cards, sculptural works based in printmaking, soft home furnishings and jewelry. Additionally, I offer workshops and classes in all aspects of printmaking on a rotating basis at the studio and beyond.

2) What makes your printmaking unique?

My artwork draws on my unique blend of world experiences from a multitude of cultures, my interest in the ideas of abstraction and realism, the practice of wabi-sabi, macro and micro imaging, and textures. I create one-of-a-kind monotypes inspired by decaying structures, the forces weather has on the world, and poetry. I utilize Akua ink solely in my printmaking practice and in all my classes. This is a soy based, safer ink that has no VOC’s, is easily cleaned up with soap and water is made locally in North Carolina. Akua ink and its formulator, Susan Rostow, have transformed the face of printmaking world-wide. 

3) How do I see your fine art prints in-person?

My work can be shopped at the studio through appointment, and at my representative galleries. My vibrant studio and gallery is located in the heart of Downtown Asheville. 4) What makes your printmaking classes unique?

I am a working artist and seasoned life long arts educator who holds classes in in my professional printmaking studio. I am proud to foster a warm and inviting learning environment and tailor every learning experience to the needs of the student. All classes include concrete actionable clear instructions, best practices and lots of exploration and encouragement. We utilize Akua ink solely in all classes to ensure a safer working environment for all. 

5) How do I take a printmaking class?

I offer classes in Lino Block, Wood Block, Reduction Printing, Multi-Block Printing, Encaustic, Gelli Plate and Monotype printmaking. All classes are held at my studio in downtown Asheville, NC. To see my class schedule CLICK HERE.
